Adoption is expensive, no matter what way you slice it and dice it. You should take advantage of all opportunities available to you to make the most of your dollars. 
Tax day arrives again every year. While I am no financial advisor and provide no legal or financial advice, I do know that the US Government offers an adoption tax credit which can be applied in the year in which your adoption is finalized.
